About me

About me

Yoshinobu “Yoshi” Fudamoto Observational astronomer at Chiba University, exploring early galaxies with ALMA and JWST, and using gravitational lensing to resolve stars and structure in the distant Universe.

I study how the first galaxies formed and evolved by combining JWST’s rest-frame optical/UV view with ALMA’s cold gas and dust tracers. I also use strong lensing to probe individual stars and fast transients in galaxies billions of light-years away.
